Meet Our Comfort Keepers Home Health Aide Team
Our Comfort Keepers home health aide team is uniquely qualified and ready to help
Every home health aide on our Comfort Keepers team is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough home health aide screening and interviewing process to identify the best home care providers, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home care and become Comfort Keepers®. What truly sets our home health aide team people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.
All Comfort Keepers pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education to become a home health aide. They are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.
For over 14 years, Tracy Kelley has been inspiring others to take action on what some might call the most noblest of pursuits— providing respite care in Highlands County for our senior loved ones.
The realization of this passion for serving others, however, can be traced back over 27 years ago, while attending Florida Southern College for her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. It was during her education and her many years of serving customers of all ages in the insurance industry that she found her passion for people, but wanted to do something more.
As a mother of three, she was seeking to fulfill that passion while maintaining a flexible schedule for her children. When Tracy saw a growing need for elder care in Highlands County, she realized that her passion for people would be best put to work by helping seniors maintain independence and quality of life in their homes. Owning and operating a home care service that offered a range of caregiving levels—from respite care and palliative care in Sebring and other areas, to dementia care and end of life care—would give her the opportunity to give something back.
Never losing sight of that vision, in 2002 Tracy opened Polk County’s first Comfort Keepers to provide unparalleled senior home care to residents of Lakeland, Winter Haven, Sebring, and the surrounding Central Florida area.
Tracy sets the high standard for everyone at Comfort Keepers by demonstrating that every aspect of the company must be grounded in love for the clients. It’s at the heart of everything a Comfort Keeper caregiver does for the client.
In her spare time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family and supporting worthy causes that help enhance the quality of life for local senior residents. In Tracy’s own words, “We get to help the hands that built America.”
LuAnne Barnet is our President. She joined Comfort Keepers during the summer of 2017 and brings with her many years of experience in business development, operations and training in elderly services and other related health services industries.
LuAnne started her journey in healthcare services earning a BA in Psychology from Luther College and then a Master’s of Counseling from Arizona State University. From there she has gained an extensive amount of experience working in sectors akin to the home healthcare industry, such as owning a consultation firm that trained senior care providers and working as a program director for a residential and day services agency. Before coming to Comfort Keepers, LuAnne spent 16 years as the CEO of a company that delivered individualized support to seniors and people with disabilities. She wore many hats in that role, including overseeing operations, human resources, finance, quality assurance, information technology, nursing / clinical, development / marketing, training and office management.
LuAnne has a deep, vested interest in the home care services provided by Comfort Keepers. In addition to her natural team-building skills and her personal work philosophy is “it’s not about me!”—she also has experienced first-hand the frustration and helplessness of watching elderly loved ones leave their home because in-home care was not available. “I am very committed to the mission of Comfort Keepers in helping others to realize the dream that my own parents could not,” LuAnne shared.
LuAnne is dedicated to the high level of quality home care services in Sebring that Comfort Keepers is known for providing, and she is committed to Comfort Keepers’ efforts to help seniors to either reach or maintain their independence.
VP of Human Resources
Paul Rosen joined Comfort Keepers on April 2, 2018 as Vice President of Human Resources. Paul brings to Comfort Keepers over 30 years of experience in all Human Resources functions, mostly in health care related industries.
Paul received his BA from Herbert H. Lehman College and a Paralegal Certification from Mercy College. He went to work at a large New York City law firm as a Paralegal where he was first introduced to elder law issues. Paul decided to further his education and went back to school and earned his Masters of Science degree in Human Resources Management. Wanting to do more with the elderly population, his first Director of Human Resources position was at a long term care facility in New York. He went on to become Corporate Director of Human Resources at various long term care organizations in the New York City area. His role as Director of HR also included a number of other responsibilities: Corporate Compliance Officer, Head of Security, Office Management, Training and Development, and many others.
His passion for the elderly population has always brought him back into the health care industry whenever he has accepted a Human Resources position outside of the health care profession. This was the main reason Paul accepted the HR position with Comfort Keepers. Paul has stated that, “working with the senior population always brings back memories of my grandparents, who I was very close to growing up.” Paul is committed to ensuring that our Comfort Keepers clients receive the highest level of quality care and service from all Comfort Keepers team members.
In 2013, Paul and his wife relocated to Florida. In his spare time, he is an avid long distance runner who has run 18 marathons. He has also started to participate in triathlons as a challenge. He follows all sports, with pro football and baseball being his favorite sports.
